If, on paper we both agree that there's a reasonable match you'll be invited to come and meet the pup
Most often meet and adoption day is the same day. I do not offer sleepovers with the puppies, but occasionally, circumstances dictate that for and adult it would be best. I book about 2 hours per meeting, I'll ask that you not be late, it will interfere with apointments past yours.
You should see pups that come to greet you, tails up, happy. You may see poop, I don't micromanage that! Pups poop 5 times a day and pee too many to count. You are encouraged to ask as many questions as you'd like. I need you to feel comfortable with me, this is a huge trust game on both parts. You need to trust that I've done everything I can to get the pups healthy and confident. I need to trust that your intent is to love and care for my puppy for its life.
The pups get sent home with a care package. It will include their vet records (information on their health check, vaccines given, micro chip and meds) There will be information on the worm meds given, flea meds given and parasite control as needed. There will be food packed for continuity, and to give the new families a chance to change them over gradually. There will be a blanket that will smell like "home".
Crates on your part are optional. Collar size; I usually tell people to hit the dollar store and get a cat collar.
Things that will be useful at your home for the pup. A bed, crate (if you're going that route), leash, a planned place to potty, bowls, treats, small toys, peanut butter and a baby kong (a fav choice for entertaining dogs)
