Lu gave birth to 4 healthy babies! 3 boys, one girl. Norton, Jack Brutus, Sir Thomas and Popsicle She has remained sweet and stable throughout her stay and delivery and subsequent step into motherhood. She is attentive and capable.
The babies were born with stripes that will disappear in a few days.
They have been named after Famous Pit Bulls! One each of their pages is a link to the original
They weighed about 425 grams each and will double that in the first 10 days.
Pups are born with only the sense of scent working. They find momma by imprinting on her smell. As their ears and eyes open (and teeth come in) that imprinting fades and the naturally start to ween themselves.
They will be following some Early Neurological Stimulation with an emphasis places on motion. I am hoping to reduce or remove car sickness (as a goal).
Luna mated around May 11 and has another 2 ish weeks to go, which gives her time to adjust to being here and to me. She is adorable and sweet natured, and I don't anticipate any issues with delivery. She will spend a couple really boring days, deeply quiet and understanding that all good things come from me. Food, breaks, walks, play time. After that I'll introduce her to Spoo and we will start off leash walks to the brook, which will help keep muscle tone up! She is young and tends to still be destructive when left unattended for longer periods.
