Breed; Boxer x Unknown dad
Birthday; September 20
Vet; No sight, November 2
Personality; Adorable. He's sweet and tries with all his heart. He just simply never gives up
Temperament Test; Fred was hard to test. I've been working with him to follow my noises, and he's really not a fighter. He's sound stable, and trusting. Not touch sensitive (perhaps because he bumps into things!)
Release Date; November 15
Fred was given a brief exam today for his eyes.
His left eye is small and recessed, probably congenital (microphalmia)
His right eye is protruding with edema and scarring (which doesn't allow scoping beyond) She indicated he does not seem uncomfortable (agree, he's never pawed or rubbed at it). It should be removed at time of neuter to avoid accidental rupture or injury.
So there you have it, he is indeed blind, and anyone applying needs to take a good moment to think it through. He's super capable, and one of the bigger pups in the litter, so it's not slowed him down a bit!
