This beefcake is sooo much fun!!! He knows that once he poops he gets his breakfast or supper... so pulls like a tank to to get back to his crate... once there he spins mid air and looks at me with a "what took you so long to get here" hahahha He is the most loving boy, he has a joy that only a bully can exude. He makes me belly laugh every day <3
Caine spent the weekend at Furry Friends Inn (Middleton) and she fell in love. "You're going to love him" She tells me he stopped reacting when walking by other dogs (behind a fence or in their kennels) and when other dogs walked by him. (awesome). His car ride home was awesome. He's good in the car. He's a solid lugnut, easy boy. He remains "no little critters and dog selective" I could set up a kissing booth and make my millions on this guy. He's seriously adorable!
Caine is my 5th surrender this year from other groups who are importing dogs from the states. While not every organization is lax on their post adoption support, the ones I've received surrenders from certainly are. Ethically adopting 3 dogs into one home in a super short period of time is wrong.
He is up to date on vaccines and I will pay for the heartworm test which can now be done with certainty. The larvae can live in the dog for 6 months, so until the dogs are here for 7 months they cannot really be declared "heartworm free".
Caine was adopted into a home, and the owners were told a few incorrect things. Like cat friendly, which he is not. He's not great friends with the resident male mastiff either... so I have him listed as dog selective. He'll come in and go through the reset program. He will then be assessed, once he is less stimulated. Imagine, being a dog, travelling thousands of miles, landing in a home with dogs, and puppies and kids and cats and adults. New food, new smells, new dialect, new expectations, new sights, new seasons.... he's overwhelmed. I'll give him time to process and have his brain catch up.
